AFC Cleveland Add Local Keeper Marijo Musa

The Royals have announced the addition of local youth standout Marijo Musa four days before our U.S. Open Cup tie with Des Moines Menace.

A goalkeeper from Willowick, OH, Musa’s soccer background includes a year with Mexican side Pachuca FC, a call-up to the U-17 U.S. Men’s National Team, four seasons with Internationals Soccer Club in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, and a training stint with Bundesliga II club FC Erzgebirge Aue. Musa developed his skills as a youth with both Croatia Cleveland Soccer Club and Cleveland Soccer Academy.

Musa has been eyeing AFC Cleveland’s growth over its first five seasons, and is excited for the opportunity to join his hometown club.

“I’m excited to play for AFC Cleveland because I have many great friends and teammates on the roster which I am looking forward to playing with but most importantly after seeing the club constantly moving forward, and getting better every single year and eventually going on win the NPSL National Championship,” said Musa.

Come see Musa and the rest of the Royals when they come home for the NPSL season opener against Dayton Dynamo on May 13. Tickets are now available at
