AFC Cleveland has added Duquesne University defender Ian Larson to its roster ahead of the 2017 NPSL season.
In his sophomore season with the Dukes, Larson made 16 starts in 17 appearances as a left back, registering two goals and two assists in 2016.
Larson had an illustrious youth career near his hometown of Batavia, Illinois. The Prairie State native played as a youth in Chicago Fire Soccer Club’s youth system, and in 2016 played for Chicago Celtic U19, winning both the Illinois State Cup and Region 2 Championship. Larson also made an appearance in the 2016 U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships, where he was named to the “2016 National Championship’s Best 11.”
Larson is eagerly anticipating his debut as a Royal.
“I cannot wait to join the defending champions this summer and to play under Coach Sesar,” said Larson.
Catch Ian and the rest of the Royals in action May 13 against Dayton Dynamo at Stan Skoczen Stadium. Tickets are now available at https://www.afccleveland.com/tickets/
