AFC Cleveland Signs Derek Zuniga for 2013 Season

AFC Cleveland announces the signing of NEW Royal, Derek Zuniga, to the 2013 roster. Zuniga, a midfielder from Massillon High, Ohio, is a junior midfielder at Wright State University. In 2012, Zuniga led Wright State in assists with three additional goals, then named to the all-conference (Horizon) team. His three seasons with Wright State have provided team leads in assists, goals, and game-winners, providing the Raiders, and now also AFC Cleveland, with an advanced attack.

Prior to Wright State, Derek was a part of the College Soccer News “100 freshmen to Keep in an Eye On” when signing with Wright State. He was a 2009 NSCAA All-American and First Team All-Ohio. Additionally, he was named All-County and All-District Player of the year as a senior, captaining two seasons for the Internationals in Cleveland.
